About Us

Brief History

The Garland Faith Community SDA Church, was founded in 1977 by 44 dedicated and faithful servants of Christ from the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Asia who were moved by the prompting of the Holy Spirit to create a Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Garland community. We are a diverse Christian community that represents over 32 countries and is part of the Seventh-day Adventist world-wide religious organization, with more than 20 million members in over 200 countries.

Our Beliefs

Our Vision

Serving and nurturing the community and one another as commissioned by Christ.

Our Mission

To worship God and reach out to the community with the everlasting gospel of Salvation, to express love through fellowship and to nurture one another through God’s word.

Our School

Through dedication and love for children, we started the Garland Christian Adventist School (GCAS) which was established in 2008 under the leadership of Pastor Kee Bong Kim. GFCC members saw the need to provide affordable Christian education to the many children that attended each week during Worship Service. Our school places great emphasis on the spiritual, mental, social, and physical development of the students. Students are encouraged to excel in reading, mathematics, social studies, and science, as well as in services to others. Garland Christian Adventist School is committed to modeling Jesus’ life, activating His love, and increasing community involvement; teaching and heralding the Advent gospel while preparing for service today, tomorrow, and eternally. Christian education provides quality academic experience in a caring Christian environment.

Garland Christian Adventist School (GCAS) vision

The desire to show the love of Jesus inside and outside the classroom; and to create in others an intense yearning to model the same love. Learn More
